Battery Almost Exploded. So I got my iPhone 13 pro back in December and a couple days ago I thought my cheapo case was misaligned but it turned out my screen was popping up on the bottom right. I booked an appt at the Genius Bar and turns out I had a spicy pillow (expanded battery). For a relatively new phone and having had IPhone since the 4sHelp. After 10 years with this thing (bought new in August 2012), I finally got a notification that service is recommended on my battery. The cycle count is at 2,166, and the max according to Apple is 1,000. Apparently it's about $260 in Canada to replace a MacBook Pro battery, although I'm not sure if they will still service a 10 year old laptop.
Connect you’re new battery (the old one does not need to be removed to test it) then connect your screen (it will be 3 connectors, screen Touch ID and front camera) turn on your phone. Make sure it turns on fine. Then turn off disconnect the battery and start the battery removal process. Thanks for the instructions!
Unpopular opinion: Just use your phone without worrying about the battery health. The iPhone 12 battery lasts for most people easily a day. Even if the capacity is at 80% it lasts long enough for most people. If not, just spend the 80 (?) bucks on a battery replacement. Generic repair shop. Apple is only ever worth it if you have applecare+ or you’re still in the warranty period. If you’ve messed around with electronics before i’d say get an OEM from aliexpress and replace it yourself, but phone repair shops are also relatively cheap and the safest option. 2. This is the method used by programmers like QianLi or JCID. The second method currently has no known way of copying the authentication data to a new part. Instead, the chip itself is retained and replaced onto the new part. Specific to the battery, the battery controller board is clipped off the cell and welded onto a new battery cell. I plan on replacing the battery of my iPhone 11 Pro in a few days given that the current battery health is at 79%. I will be carrying it to a local Apple Store to do so, however my biggest concern is the water resistance. Will the resistance retain its same IP rating or will it be worse? siKbe.
